As all artists can attest to, they’ve spent their whole life “being creative” in one way or another. Drawing and thinking were always my escape, so I majored in Art, taught Art, did Art....
“The world just always seemed better and brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before!” (paraphrase from N. Gaiman)
However, it wasn’t until the last few decades that I began to learn how to SEE and how to SIMPLIFY, attempting to make my work more painterly. Nature is my favorite studio as I love to paint outside En Plein Air and I hope to always be chasing the light.
We are very blessed to have the Art Cottage where visitors can stop by and browse our galleries, while watching one of our artists painting at the easel!
To have a gallery plus working studios, in an 1860’s vintage house is a dream come true!!
